Variegated scallop. This is the middle sized, variegated scallop with 30 ribs. The main difference between this and the pilgrim scallop, aside from being smaller, is that it has two cupped shells rather than one flat and one cupped.
"Blue foot." Wood blewit. A bright lilac blue mushroom with fresh clean flavour and excellent with potatoes.
Noah's ark. A small shellfish or clam. It is usually eaten raw, when it is quite tough and chewy, or cooked like mussels and included in pasta dishes.
A paste made with pounded bread, chopped parsley, almonds, pine nuts, garlic and olive oil. Used as a basis for sauces.
