A soup made from tamarind broth flavoured with pineapple, tomatoes, chilli, okra, beansprouts, fried garlic and spring onions (US: scallions, salad onions), coriander (US: cilantro) and other herbs and spices. It may then have added to it prawns or chicken of beef.
