Dublin Bay prawns. Norway lobsters. These are like small, elongated lobsters, pale pink when cooked, with long, narrow claws and a delicious flavour.
"Seaman's beef." A casserole of alternate layers of beef chuck steak, sirloin or rump, and sliced potatoes, with onions, and thyme, stewed in stout.
"Seaman's mussels' or 'moules marinière." Mussels steamed briefly in white wine with shallot and parsley until they have opened, and served with the broth.
