Lison is a small town in the Veneto which has recently joined the ranks of DOC wine producers with Cabernet and Tocai made mainly from Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon and Tocai Italico with some Merlot.

Leerfish. A fish common in the mediterranean. It is large and silver and grey, plump and oily with firm flesh and deeply forked tail. It is best grilled or bakedand should be particularly fresh. Oily fish do not keep well. It seems to have no English name, but is close in appearance to the Pompano.

"Stripe." A cut from the Italian beef carcass from along the midline of the animal, level with the midlength of the ribs. In the UK this would the thick and thin ribs, becoming apparent at the removal of the brisket and flank.
