Bangus or milkfish. A large, silver, bony fish popular in the South Pacific and Indian ocean. It has a delicate flavour, rather similar to whitefish, and has greenish-grey skin. It is cultivated in brackish fish ponds.

Dutch cheese. A large, firm, oily cow's milk cheese in the shape of an orange ball with a fruity aroma and flavour, factory-made. A copy, also called Mimolette, is made in Flanders in northern France.

Mimosa salad, so called because of the colour. A salad of orange segments and lettuce with chopped egg.
