A round of soft cheese made with sheep's milk, sometimes with a little added goat's milk, similar to Queijo da Serra. It has a creamy paste and is made on farms.
A round of hard cheese made with sheep's milk, good for grating. It has a dense, smooth, even paste and a dry, dark brown rind. This cheese contains 50% fat (total), 37% fat (dry). The curds are uncooked and it weighs 200-300 g (7-10 oz).
"In the style of Madeira." Dishes cooked with tomatoes and onions, flavoured with garlic, often with Madeira and sometimes including bananas.
Fly agaric. A type of mushroom, the classic red with white spots. Famous for its psychoactive hallucinogenic properties this is the magic mushroom and is actually poisonous to eat.
Caesar's mushroom. Excellent raw in salads or grilled, stuffed or used as a garnish.
