Fines herbes. This refers to selected herbs seen as indispensable in cooking and mixed together. The mixture may include parsley, thyme, bay leaf, chives, tarragon and chervil.
Chard-like greens. Sources variously report this as anything from Swiss chard to a general term for green leafy vegetables: chard, spinach, cabbage etc. Chard is grown for its leaves and broad flat stems. Spinach beet is like a coarse version of spinach.
