"Squid in red sauce." Squid rings sautéed with onions, garlic and tomatoes. Usually served with pasta.
"Black squid." Squid rings fried in olive oil, onions, red peppers and garlic added and stewed in white wine and the squid's ink.
"Stuffed squid." Squid which may be stuffed with any of a multitude of fillings, often just the tentacles mixed with herbs, cooked in a little white wine.
"Stuffed squid stewed in white wine." Squid which may be filled with any of a number of stuffings, most commonly simply with the tentacles mixed with breadcrumbs and herbs and then baked in olive oil and white wine.
