Espresso coffee with lots of frothy milk, often dusted with cocoa powder (US: unsweetened cocoa) or, in the United States, cinnamon. It is supposed to be the colour of the robe of a Capucin monk. It is usually drunk in the morning.
"Corrected coffee." Served in Lombardy, this is espresso coffee "corrected" or "improved" by the addition of a little grappa or brandy.
Decaffeinated coffee. This is commonly called Hag, the brand name of the main commercial supplier to Italy.
"Double coffee." A coffee twice the normal size. A double espresso. This is commonly referred to as un doppio.
