A sort of bread pudding made with stale bread cut up and mixed with nuts, raisins and custard, baked until set. It is often sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and browned and then cooled before serving.
"Diplomatic pudding." Cabinet pudding, made with lady fingers, sponge fingers, filled with custard and candied fruits.
Plum pudding. In Italy this describes a pie case filled with plums, dried fruits, nuts, lemon peel and Marsala with cream.
