The edible root of a plant, Caribbean cabbage, originally from the West Indies. The peeled root is cooked in the same way as a turnip. It is mainly grown in southern France.
Curly kale. Collard greens which can grow up to 2m (6 ft) in height).
Savoy cabbage. A lovely, solidly packed cabbage with solidly crinkly leaves.
