A mandarin orange is a small orange citrus fruit with skin which can be easily removed and segments which can easily be taken apart. The mandarin and the tangerine are the same thing.
M&Ms were developed by Forrest Mars who also invented the Mars bar. His father, Frank Mars had patented the Milky Way in the United States. Forrest Mars also invented the Snickers bar and Maltesers. He was accused of stealing the idea for M&Ms from Smarties, but claimed to have had the idea earlier when he saw soldiers fighting in the Spanish Civil War who ate sugar-coated chocolate pellets.
Spinach beet or mangel wurzel (US: Mangold), similar to Swiss chard. The leaves can be prepared in the same way as spinach, the stems like cardoon. The roots can be used as fodder.
