A variety of eating apple raised in 1913 by Mr GT Spinks at Long Ashton Research Station in Bristol. It is a Cox's Orange Pippin cross. It is a dense, dark crimson apple. This early-season variety is harvested from late-August in South-East England and does not store well.
Hops are pressed into the rind, and absorbed into the surface, of this hard cow's milk cheese, creating a yeasty, crunchy bite. It may be matured to becme a hard, moist cheese.
