A fritter made with brik pastry and Katschkawalj cheese or meat rolled into a cigar shape. It can be made with Gruyère or Emmental. It can also be a sweet fritter made with honey and nuts and soaked in syrup, similar to the Greek bourekakia. It can be large or small and is found all over the Middle East.
