"Green rice with clams." Rice, cooked with a lot of stock so that it is rather soupy, with clams, green peppers and parsley.
"Roastable." A ball, loaf or plait of fresh cheese made with cow's milk, similar to Provolone. It has a white, supple, elastic paste. It may be found weighing anything from 225 g - 5 kg (8 oz - 11 lb) and is particularly good for cooking as it has good melting properties.
Although this commonly means roasting, in the Philippines it can also mean stewing. This will often involve simmering meats in soy sauce with onions and tomatoes and flavoured with bay leaves.
