Sea squirt. A small sea creature which looks like a knobbly potato. The edible part looks like scrambled egg and is eaten raw.
A town near Valencia infamous for its annual Tomatina or tomato fight. About 40,000 people converge on the town to throw 120 tons of tomatoes at one another for about an hour. I think I will give it a miss.
Round fritters or hollow puffs often served as a tapas. They can be sweet, using apricots or savoury, including versions made with salt cod, cheese, ham, shellfish, brains or celery. They are made by dipping a morsel of these foods into pancake batter and deep frying. In Mexico they are often made with sugar and aniseed or cinnamon and hot chocolate or atole.
