"Eve." A meal traditionally eaten on Christmas Eve in Poland, in which carp is eaten with borscht, dumplings, potatoes and other vegetables. The carp is prepared differently depending on where you are in the country. In the south-west, in Silesia, it is stuffed with parsley root while elsewhere it may be filleted, fried, served in aspic or stuffed with any of a number of fillings.
