A peasant sausage made predominantly from potato with a little bacon and onion. It is usually served with sauerkraut.
Chickweed. A plant which grows wild near streams and on wasteland and may be eaten raw in salads, cooked in the same way as spinach or used to make soup.
Giant puffball. An edible mushroom which slices almost like bread. Use only the smaller ones and they should be heavy and firm. If they are light in weight than they have dried up. Always cut them open from top to bottom with a sharp knife to check the interior
