This variety of Chaceon crab is also called the red crab. Amongst other areas, it is found south of the Faroe Islands, Iceland and in the deep waters west of Ireland and England.
Black chanterelle or horn of plenty. A wild mushroom which should be cooked.
Capelin. A small bony fish of Arctic waters, resembling smelt and with the same cucumber smell when fresh, and treated in the same way as whiting.
Saffron milk cap. It exudes milk when cut and is usually served fried or cold with a vinaigrette. It may also refer to a close relative, the salmon milk cap.
Sanguin or bloody milk cap. A mushroom quite similar to the saffron milk cap but less common. It exudes a red milk sang poivré when cut.
