A large, sweet, russeted variety of eating apple with red blush found by M Parmentier in Belgium in 1830 and now found throughout the north of Europe. This late-season variety is harvested from mid-October in South-East England and is at is best from December to March.
"Nun." A choux pastry built to have the appearance of a nun, filled with chocolate cream or coffee cream and coated with chocolate or coffee.
Piddock. A large shellfish that burrows in rockpools. It is also a type of pear dessert.
