Beef or bullock (ox, steer). The terms 'härät' and 'härkiä' would be used to indicated numbers of beef cattle, while 'härkää' might be seen on a menu to indicate beef.
Sea scorpion. An ugly fish from North Atlantic waters. It has spines on its head which may be poisonous. Sea scorpions are occasionally used in fish soups. The terms 'härkäsimput' and 'härkäsimppuja' are used to describe numbers of live fish, while härkäsimppua is how they would appear on a menu.
Grey seal; the ones with the slightly grumpy faces.
Grisette. A slender mushroom of the amanite family with a pale grey, ribbed cap, mild scent and flavour. It must be eaten well cooked or it will cause gastro -intestinal problems.
