A commercial variety of lemon, of classic lemon shape and colour. It produces juicy, acid fruit with medium to thin skins. It originated in California in 1858 and is widely grown in California, Israel, South Africa, Argentina and Australia.
Milk with 60-65% of the liquid removed. It is unsweetened, unlike condensed milk, and can be used instead of cream.
A variety of round, apparently purple tomato. Janet Saunders at Wimpole Hall, who grew the ones in the picture, was disappointed that they did not become more purple.
An indeterminate heirloom beefsteak tomato variety with masses of lobe-shaped fruits which remain green even when ripe. The flavour of the emerald green flesh is mild.
