Fromage frais. A soft cheese often used in place of cream. May also be cottage cheese.
Judas's ear fungus, often found dried. Dried or fresh they should not be fried, as they explode, but stewed with other ingredients.
Physalis or cape gooseberry. Bitter-sweet, apricot-coloured berries enclosed in papery wraps.
