Viseu is a district and town in northern central Portugal, part of the provinces of Beira Alta and Trás-os-Montes. Of importance to the economy of Vila Real are almonds, wine, olives, fruit and vegetables, grain, meat and dairy produce. It is well known for its Dão wines.
