Siu mai is a dumpling or dim sum filled with minced (US: ground) prawn and/or pork, ginger and mushrooms gathered loosely in gyoza wrappers or wontun wrappers cut into circles with the top left open, steamed and served as a dim sum. They are frequently served with fish roe or grated carrot.
