Rosamund apple

[English]

A variety of yellow dual-purpose apple heavily flushed with red. It is a Red James Grieve sport which was found by Mr Paget Norbury of Malvern some time before 1927. It is quite sharp as an eating apple and keeps its shape when cooked. This mid-season variety is harvested from mid-September in South-East England and is at its best from September to November.
