Only red wines are produced in Pommard, between Beaune and Volnay in Burgundy. They are among the most tannic and robust wines in Burgundy, and much stronger than the neighbouring Beaune and Volnay wines. Pommard has suffered a decline in quality over previous decades but problems have been addressed and they are set to improve.
