Pêche Melba apple

A variety of sharp-flavoured, yellow eating apple streaked with red. In 1930 this apple was brought to England from Ireland and given its French name. It is yellowish-orange streaked and splattered with pink and the flesh is peach pink. This early-season apple is harvested from late August in South-East England and can be stored until September.
