An indeterminate heirloom variety of tomato from the Black Forest region of Germany and brought to the United States in the 1880s, It is a prolific producer of slightly flattened, ribbed, red-gold bicoloured tomatoes weighing from 500 g - 1 kg (1-2 lb) and with lots of seeds late in the season.
