Dunbarra

[English]

This cheese originated in Dublin where it was known as Dublin's only cheese. In the summer of 1999 it was moved to Cooleeney. Dunbarra is a brie-like, soft white moulded cheese. It has a mild flavour with a firm buttery texture. It is made in two sizes, 180g and 1.7kg. It is made using vegetarian rennet from pasteurised milk. As well as being made in a natural flavour, it is also available with a pepper and garlic flavouring. They have a design of a Celtic motif on their surface. It may be made with either cow or goat's milk.
