An all-purpose variety of apple with yellowish-green skin with a distinctive reddish-pink blush and tart, juicy flesh. It was found by Francis Cites at Parker Heights Nursery in Washington State in 1968. It freezes well and keeps well and is a heavy producer. Probably a cross between Red and Golden Delicious this is a late-season variety picked from mid-October in the United States and is at its best from November to January.
