Compiègne

A town in Val d'Oise department in the Île-de-France known for white haricot beans (US: navy beans). Soissons is also well known for haricot beans (US: navy beans). Compiègne is most famous for the fact that the Armistice ending the 1st World War was signed in a railway carriage in the forest there in 1918.
