Collio (Goriziano)

/KOH-lyoh (ghoh-reets-YAH-noh)/
[Italian]

A region of Friuli producing high quality white wines. Collio alone is a light, dry, slightly sparkling wine made from a blend of grapes which is why it does not carry the name of the grape as do the other 10 wines produced bearing this name.
