[Spanish] plural chongos

A dessert which originated in the state of Michoacán near Lake Chapala. The sweet curd-like pudding is made with milk and eggs curdled with rennet and has an appearance and consistency similar to cottage cheese. The mixture is set and then cut into squares and cooked very slowly for hours and then placed in a syrup flavoured with cinnamon.
