cherimoya

The cherimoya is a fruit of a South American tree of the custard apple family. Fir cone-patterned, thin, green skin encloses white, silky smooth flesh and large shiny stones. The interior pulp is eaten raw and unsweetened and has a flavour of pineapple. Larger ones have the luscious and complex taste of banana, mango and vanilla. Originated in Peru.
