A large, cylindrical winter squash which resembles a smooth large peanut with a bulbous base and which has a buttery flavour and yellowish-orange flesh. The hard butterscotch-coloured skin is not edible. I stuff these with cream, Parmesan cheese, butter and lots of thyme.
