[English] plural breadnuts

Breadnut is a variety of breadfruit grown in the Caribbean and Central American which has seeds 2.5 cm (1 inch) long. It is a staple of Mayan diet, and with a flavour and texture like a cross between potato and chestnut. These can be roasted or boiled and eaten as nuts. The fruit is also roasted and ground for flour.
