Berkswell

A hard, chewy, farmhouse sheep’s milk cheese from the West Midlands made in a basket mould. It is similar to Pecorino with a complex flavour, based on a recipe for Caerphilly. It was awarded Best Modern British Cheese 1994 and 1999; Gold award 1994, 1995, 1998 and 1999, Bronze award 1997 at the British Cheese Awards.
