The Atlantic croaker is a variety of croaker or drum fish, a marine fish up to 1 kg (2.2 lb) in weight with lean, delicately flavoured flesh. It is an Atlantic fish found from Texas to Cape Cod in Massachusetts, and a popular fish for frying.
