Pea soup. A traditional winter soup this is likely to be made with dried yellow peas made with a meat-based stock and perhaps with some pieces of dried or smoked belly pork added. This dish appears in many of the colder parts of the world; available beans with pork of some kind, as in Boston baked beans.
