A drum of hard cheese made with cow's milk, this is a Dunlop-type cheese, similar to Cheddar. It has a moist, close-textured, slightly elastic paste and is rindless. It is made at Torrylin Creamery, Isle of Arran, Strathclyde. It may or may not be coloured. It is made with whole milk and the curds are pressed. It may be found in the following weighing 1 kg (2 lb 3 oz). This cheese tastes less harsh than Cheddar.
