A popular dish in kebab houses, this sausage-shaped kebab, made with minced (US: ground) beef or lamb mixed with parsley and onions, is sometimes served with a fanfare in a dome-shaped copper dish. Usually it will consist of pitta bread with the 'sausages' on top, sprinkled with sumac and then topped with tomato sauce containing some chillis and yoghurt, with a sprinkling of pine nuts.
