A small cake made with many eggs and butter, similar to a baba but without the yeast. It may contain almonds, raisins and orange peel, and be flavoured with rum or sometimes has cocoa or cinnamon added.

The brand name of a vodka originally made in Lvov. After the Second World War Lvov was incorporated into the Ukraine and many people from Lvov were refugeed to Wroclaw. Baczewski is now made in Wroclaw.
