Smelt. A fish of the salmon family often served tossed in flour and fried. Fresh from the water, they are said to smell like cucumber.
Cornet. Cones rolled on a special iron and filled with whipped cream or jam (US: jelly) or berry fruits.

Spice or seasoning
Fine herbes. This refers to selected herbs seen as indispensable in cooking and mixed together. The mixture may include parsley, thyme, bay leaf, chives, tarragon and chervil.
