The husk of the seeds of Plantago ovata, psyllium. They are used as an ingredient of natural laxatives. In India they are used in the long, cool drinks available in India. They absorb the flavours of the drink and take on a jelly-like consistency.
A type of coarsely ground flour used in ancient Rome to make a gruel or porridge of the same name, a sort of precursor of polenta.
The russula integra is a good edible mushroom with pinkish brown colour. (If gathering mushrooms you must be absolutely certain what you have before you eat them as many are very poisonous.)
