Any strip of filleted fish, often sole or pike, deep-fried after being dipped in flour or egg and breadcrumbs. So-called, because the eventual shape is similar to a gudgeon.
"Gudgeon in a muff." The body of a gudgeon, a small freshwater fish, dipped in egg and breadcrumbs. This leaves the head and tail free, giving the appearance of a muff (manchon). It is then deep-fried.
Goulash. A beef stew with onions and tomatoes, flavoured with paprika and often served with soured cream (US: cultured sour cream).

Ivy gourd. A small crunchy gourd reminiscent of a gherkin, green ripening to red, popular in the cuisines of India, Thailand, Indonesia and other South East Asian countries. The shoots and leaves can also be eaten.
