Buffalo berry. A berry which grows in the Midwestern states of the United States. It is a small red or yellow berry growing on a wild, bushy tree. It is used for preserves or to make a tart sauce to accompany buffalo meat.

The neck or clod is a cut from the neck of an animal. Relatively lean, usually cut up as stewing or braising steak or stewing beef and sometimes minced (US: ground). Leaner than chuck or blade, but less tasty than shin. Most economical cut. It is used in stew, but must be well seasoned and cooked slowly.
The nectarine is a smooth-skinned cultivar of a peach, not, as is often thought, a cross between a peach and a plum.
Saury. Skipper. Needlefish. A striking, beaked, marine fish up to 45 cm (1ft 6) long, known as skippers, as they leap from the sea to avoid fishing nets.
Black boletus mushroom. Excellent to eat from August to October whether raw in salads or cooked or preserved and also freezes well.
