Anya potato

Anya is a variety of salad potato with a nutty flavour. It is small and holds its shape when steamed or boiled and has a waxy texture with a fine skin. It is a second early potato, disease resistant and prolific. It is derived from Desirée. This potato was developed by the gardener of Lord Sainsbury and named after his wife. (1995).

A soft scone like item (US: biscuit) created in the 1800's in Philadelphia by Ann Page who carved her initials (AP) on the top of each one. Soured cream is used in the batter.

Aperitif Perrier

A cocktail consisting of 45 ml (1½ fl oz) London Dry gin, 45 ml (1½ fl oz) Noilly Prat, 15 ml (½ fl oz) Rose’s lime juice or 90 ml (3 fl oz) fresh lime or grapefruit juice, Perrier, twist of cucumber peel. Shake the liquor and fruit juice very thoroughly with ice cubes and strain into ballon wine glass over 2-3 ice cubes. Top up with Perrier. Decorate with peel.
