Greenland halibut (US: Greenland turbot). A chicken halibut, or smaller version of the huge, side-swimming flatfish found in the deep waters of the North Atlantic. The skin is dark grey or brown. It is often smoked as it has dense, oily flesh.
The miller. A type of edible mushroom with a slightly unsual smell and one which is easily confused with other, poisonous, clitocybe mushrooms.
Parasol mushroom. Good baked with butter and garlic, or fried.
Black-tailed godwit, A tall wader with a long, straight bill. It has a broad white wing bar and a bold black band on a snow white tail. Eaten in the same way as woodcock.
