As in many other languages, including English, the word for cream has a multiplicity of translations. It can mean cream, as in the rich matter emanating from a cow thought this is most commonly known as nata; it might mean a cream or custard dessert as in crema catalana; it might indicate a cream soup or purée as in crema de pollo; it may also be a liqueur such as crema de cacao.
